17450 Florence M. Cornyn, Colonel 10th Missouri Cavalry CDV Colonel
Cornyn was shot to death by the regiment's deputy commander, Lt
Colonel William D. Bowen, during a recess in Bowen's court martial.
Cornyn died of wounds on 8/10/1863 and his remains were brought to St.
Louis and buried in Cavalry Cemetery.  Back marked G.W. Armstead,
Corinth, Miss  $495  

He enlisted on 9/1/1861 as a Surgeon.

On 9/1/1861 he was commissioned into Field & Staff MO. 1st Light
He was discharged for promotion on 10/9/1862

On 10/9/1862 he was commissioned Colonel into Field & Staff MO. 10th
