Tortoise Shell, MOP and Ivory Case 1//6 plate daguerreotype case containing a daguerreotype of an older woman wearing a white snood and white collar on a dark dress. Her right hand is cupped in her lap. With her other arm she is cradling a young boy in a dark suit. The image is not in great condition, the case has cracks which is to be expected and some missing MOP pieces. That said the case is rare and the image mat is one used by both Brady and Vance galleries.
