Serious Woman in a Wagon 1/6 plate daguerreotype of a young woman with his hands crossed in her lap. Tinted face, ribbon, and jewelry. Notice the strange white backdrop and how it fails to go above her head. I suspect that this image was taken in a traveling wagon and the height of the wagon sides did not allow for a longer backdrop. A crudely cool image. Split case. Circa 1850.
