14253 Col Wilson 6th New York  CDV of  William Wilson,
39 years old.  Image of the Colonel standing on a
patterned rug next to a side table and column as he wears
a suit and forage hat.  He pulls back part of his jacket to
show a sash. He enlisted on 4/25/1861 in New York City,
NY as a Colonel.  On 5/25/1861 he was commissioned into
Field & Staff NY 6th Inf.  He was mustered out on
6/25/1863 at NY,NY.  He was promoted to Brig-General
11/13/1865  by Brevet.  He also had service in Field &
Staff NY 69th Infantry (Declined Colonelcy).  Back mark
reads, “Col Wm Wilson” in pencil and stamped
“Published by E. Anthony, 501 Broadway, New York.
