14486 Two John Brown Related Letters - Two handwritten letters
from 1859 and one envelope. One written from Washington DC and
the other letter written from upstate New York. Each letter
mentions John Brown. The letter from DC speaks of the raid and
how Washington reacted to it. “I do think that John Brown had
better kept quiet than to have disturbed the whole U.S.A. and
destroy other peoples lives as well as his own.”  While the response
letter mentions a family member going after John Brown. Letters
are in good condition and great addition to any collection interested
in John Brown.  $200
