July 24, 1909.  John Wallace Crawford (1847 - 1917) was an
American adventurer, educator, and author.  He was a master
storyteller about the Wild West and is known in American
history as on of the most popular performers in the late
nineteenth century.  His typed letter on Capt. Jack Crawford
letterhead speaks of his work in Onekama, Michigan and his
desire to purchase land and his selling of Angora goats.  $310
