18683  Home of Indian Captive Mrs. Mary Draper Inglis  
Photograph 3” x 4”  of the log cabin in which she lived
with her family at Inglis Ferry near present day Radford,
Virginia.  She and her two oldest sons were captured by
the Shawanese in 1756.  She escaped 5 months later.  Her
oldest son Thomas escaped after 14 years.  George died in
captivity.  Tipped onto a page which is tipped onto a
cabinet card from Snyder of Topeka at a later date.
