CDV of the Irish-born American general in
the Union Army during the Civil War.  He
was a close confidant of President Abraham
Lincoln.  He led the 69th New York Regiment
into action at the First Battle of Bull Run.  He
later left the 69yh and formed the Corcoran
Legion, consisting of at least five other New
York regiments. No backmark. Clipped left
