20363 Ivory Tipped and Silver Ornamented Civil War Era

This particularly ornate pair of heavy drumsticks measure a full 17
1/4" in length and are of classic Civil War era configuration (see
Garofalo & Mark Elrod's Pictorial History of Civil War Era
Musical Instruments & Military Bands). The nicely finished
hardwood shafts are maker marked (Westphal) and measure
approximately 13/16" in diameter at the butt where they are
capped with heavy silver ferrules.  These high grade sticks taper to
their nicely aged patinaed ivory tips in the typically hand turned,
straight taper fashion of the period.  All in nice original condition
with no "rim" dents. $500
