Where Grant Died - Stereo card portrays the house where President Grant passed away. General and President Ulysses S. Grant died in Mt. McGregor, NY in his private
homestead from throat cancer. The former president lived in this particular home in the woods and wrote a detailed account of his life during the Civil War before passing away
at the age of 64, on July 23, 1885. Front of card is marked "4085. Where our Hero’s spirit departed, Mount McGregor. Copyrighted 1885. By B. W. Kilburn,” and the back reads
"Photographed and Published by Kilburn Brothers Littleton, N.H.”
