A Surgical Instrument Maker With Brewster Stereo Viewer - CDV of a portly older gentleman wearing a three piece suit with long jacket. As he sits he holds a cane in his right hand and looks into the distance. The table next to him holds a book and a stereo viewer. The back of the card reads "Mr. John Mappin Aged 77 April 11th, 1842.” The notation "January 2nd, 1871” also reveals the date the card was given. A small corner crease is present.
