Confederate General Braxton Bragg CDV bust view in uniform. He was a corps
commander at the Battle of Shiloh. Commanded the Army of the
Mississippi. In 1863 he fought a series of battles against Maj. Gen.
William S. Rosecrans and the Army of the Cumberland. Defeated Rosecrans
at the Battle of Chickamauga. Routed by Grant at Chattanooga, and was
recalled to Richmond where he became the military advisor to Confederate
President Jefferson Davis. Back mark E. & H.T. Anthony, New York.
