Barnum Offering Money to Lavinia Warren. A possibly unique photo as I have found no other examples. P.T. Barnum offered Lavinia Warren money, specifically $5,000, to appear in his museum for six weeks. This offer was made after she married Charles Stratton, also known as "General Tom Thumb". Lavinia declined the offer, stating she wanted to appear before the Courts of Europe first. Back marked Silsbee, Case and Co., Boston.
