The 11th New Hampshire Infantry Regiment was active from October 4, 1862, to June 4, 1865. The regiment fought in key battles, including Vicksburg, Knoxville, the Wilderness, Spotsylvania, Cold Harbor, and the Siege of Petersburg. It suffered heavy losses: 5 officers and 140 enlisted men killed or mortally wounded, and 1 officer and 151 enlisted men died of disease, totaling 297 casualties. Mustered out in June 1865, the 11th New Hampshire played a significant role in major Union campaigns.
