Louisiana State Capitol (Baton Rouge Statehouse) CDV During
the Civil War, the Old Louisiana State Capitol building in Baton Rouge
was occupied by Union forces, used as a prison and a garrison for
African-American troops, and was ultimately gutted by a catastrophic fire in
December 1862. No back mark.
