Forlorn Girl Dag and Ambro– These beautiful ¼ plate images show a precious plump-faced curly-haired little girl wearing a plaid off the shoulder top and an earnest facial expression. The daguerreotype shows a serious faced toddler standing upon a wooden chair wearing a sweet gown and petticoat. A wonderful example showing the transition between ambrotypes and daguerreotypes. Note that the girl is about the same age in both photos. Thermoplastic case.
