Gent With Glasses - This 1840’s ⅙ plate daguerreotype is in wonderful condition. This image is housed in a brown leather case with a paper mat and secured by one clasp. The image is of an older gentleman who wears wire rimmed glasses and appears to be an academic. He sits tall and proud with a black suit coat, buttoned vest, and bow tie fastened around a high collared white shirt. He sits in front of a white mantle with a book on top.
