US Marshall Bvt. Gen. Robert Neil McLaren DS,
actual size 8 1/2” x 14” Some water marks and damage on
the top. Document appointing a Deputy Marshall dated
December 11, 1877. Gen. McLaren served as U.S. Mashal
from 1873-1881. Prior to that he had served as Major of
the 6th Minn. Inf. and Col. of the 2nd Minn. Cav. He was
breveted for faithful and meritorious services.
