War date letter 9 ½” X 15” mentioning Grants
victory at Vicksburg. "…the soldiers in this part of the army feel first rate we
drive the Rebs before us like so many cattle & there is lots of them that
is deserting & giving themselves up. "

A
postwar letter from a fellow soldier attesting to what he knows about Alonzo
Bishop’s health.

A civilian view of Bishop and his wife.

A 1/9 plate tintype of his daughter
and 1888 clipping explaining the death of Bishops daughter.
