CSA Gen. Sterling Price CDV, bust view, of the general in uniform. He was the 11th governor of the State of Missouri and served as a brigadier general during the Mexican-American war. During the Civil War he served as a major general but suffered defeat during the Missouri Campaign of 1864. After the war he took his troops to Mexico rather than surrender. Backmark E. & H.T.
