Confederate Gen. Ambrose P. Hill CDV. West Point graduate class of 1847, entered Confederate service as colonel of the 13th Va. Inf., later fighting under Stonewall Jackson. He fought through most of the Wilderness campaign and in the defense of Petersburg, where he was killed. Backmark J. Gurney & Son, New York.
