Not sure if he is trying to look stately, but he looks more uncomfortable than sophisticated; it could be that his lightly colored hair makes him look older than he is. Image was taken by J.H. Whitehurst Galleries where many elegant images
have been taken. The image is housed in a slightly worn brown leather case with a ruby red velvet pad printed with "J.H. Whitehurst”.
