General Caldwell and Staff at Fair Oaks a Brady Album gallery card. At the Battle of Glendale, he displayed "personal gallantry" in coming to the aid of the beleaguered Union division led by Philip Kearny. He was wounded at Antietam and twice at Fredricksburg. Caldwell's division was hit hard in the Wheat field at Gettysburg. After the war, Caldwell served in the honor guard for Abraham Lincoln's funeral train. Very slightly trimmed. Great contrast.
