This little finger lantern stands just 6" high from its 4 1/4" diameter base to the tip of its delicately shaped glass chimney. Fashioned from spun sheet brass in the same fashion as the common brass candlestick of the Civil War era, (see Philip's Excavated Artifacts from
Battlefields and Campsites of the Civil War) this example remains in excellent original condition with only its construction style and rich patina as evidence of age and originality. A most eye appealing addition for the personal item and lighting collector.
