Policeman - 1/2 plate tintype portrays a policeman of the time. He stands in front of a plain backdrop and next to an ornate chair. He wears an over-sized wool coat, belt, billy club, gloves, and hat. He appears to depend on the chair, so he can keep from falling due to the weight of his bulky coat. Image is housed in half of a case on the back of which is a hook for hanging on a wall. The plate does have bends.
