WWII Named Navy Cross and Distinguished Flying Cross. A supurb WWII Navy Cross and Distinguished Flying Cross, both of which are named in simple block letters "J.A. Miller.”The full wrap brooch NC is named at the top of the reverse arm and comes in the original rare black leatherette 3 X 5.5 inch titled Nay Cross case, with ribbon bar and lapel pin. The slot brooch DFC is the Army style with the Army type black titled leatherette case with ribbon bar and lapel pin. Included is a full biography from the Navy Historical Center, showing Justin Albert Miller was a USNA graduate in 1931. He became a Naval Aviator before WW2 and rose to C.> of VPB 101 in the Pacific. His NC and DFC citations are really thrilling as his PB4Y bomber did a lot of damage to the Japanese. His purple hear action sounds like that of JFK and his PT-109 exploits. Besides a PH and NUC to VPB 101, Miller also won an Air Medal with 2 Gold Stars and a GS to his DFC. These were for his 5th, 10th, 15th and 20th air strike flights. Here we are offering his two greatest medals the NC and DFC. Miller rose to Captain and retired in 1960. Comes with a binder of information that includes a bio and later copies of his citations.
