Confederate General Lloyd Tilghman CDV full standing view in uniform with sword. He was imprisoned as a prisoner of war first in Alton, Illinois and later at Fort Warren in Boston. He was exchanged for Union General John F. Reynolds. In the Vicksburg Campaign of 1863 he was hit in the chest by a shell fragment and killed in the Battle of Champion Hill. Back mark E. & H.T.
