General John G. Parke A rich waist up view of Parke with period ink identification on the bottom. Parke served as chief of staff to General Burnside during the battles of Antietam and Fredericksburg. He saw action in the Vicksburg Campaign and in the defense of Knoxville among others. He was also a post war superintendent of the United States Military Academy. Back marked C.D.
