Champion Cal McCarthy and Hardin Boxing Cal McCarthy was the first teen-age titleholder
when he won the 110 pound title in 1887, at 18-years-of-age. He held the
featherweight title from September 17, 1888, to March 31, 1891, and lost it to
George Dixon in 22 rounds at Troy, N.Y. Photo 4 ¼” X 3 ¾” attached to heavy
paper stock.
