Sailor from the Saginaw An interesting CDV of an enlisted sailor who had his photo made in Hong Kong. The Saginaw was decommissioned at Hong Kong January 3, 1862 and returned to Mare Island for repairs. It was relaunched Dec 3, 1862 and prevented Confederate activity along the west coast. Back marked Hung Cheong & Co., Hong Kong with unreadable ink writing on the back.
