have had this image in my personal collection since 2001 and I purchased it from Dennis Waters. I will let him describe it. "If primitiveness and and rather garish
tinting attracts you to daguerreotypes,then this sixth plate example will
absolutely delight. At one angle the kids are blue, at another they are brown:
the lighting is strong and the boy moved, but I still love the pose and crude
wrinkled backdrop. They might have been seated in the door of their home. Resealed,
the plate is great.” Now in a full case. (see pg 27 of Waters
