Southworth and Hawes Portrait – A beautiful plate
attributed to Boston master daguerreotypists Southworth and Hawes. An
outstanding daguerreotype of a man with wavy hair and chin beard. He
wears a dark suit coat, a printed vest, a high collar shirt, and a necktie. Contained
in a "American Country Life - Summer’s Evening” thermoplastic case, considered
to be one of the finest case designs.
