Kids on a Haystack with Cast Iron Toys - This cabinet card with the frontmark "McClaire Shorey Block, Cor. Third & Columbia, Seattle, Wash.” portrays what looks to be a brother and sister wearing their Sunday bests. The preschool-aged, blonde-headed boy wears striped slacks and leather boots. Under his sweater he wears a white high collar shirt with checked bowtie. In his hand he holds a plaid hat. The beautiful toddler is seated upon a haystack while resting her hand on an ornately carved pillar. She wears a white dress, finely detailed on the bodice and around the trim. Notice a toy tractor and wagon is also set upon the pillar. No backmark.
