State of Maine Testimonial for Albert N Heald who was a musician with the 9th Maine. This testimonial document features large facsimile signatures of Civil War Generals Joshua L. Chamberlain (Governor of Maine when the document was signed) and John C. Caldwell. It is dated the 4th of July 1868. Nice condition with some foxing and a small water stain in the blank upper right that is hardly visible. The document features engravings of Chamberlain, Grant and Farragut. Frame measures 18 1/2” X 16”. Can be shipped with or without the frame your choice.
