Sky Railroad, White Mts., N.H. - Curve mount stereo provides a scenic view of train approaching from the left on a high, narrow trestle across a gorge in the White Mountains. The trestle is supported by triangular-shaped
beams. The train has an engine car and four additional cars. Text on right reads "copyright 1891, by B.W. Kilburn.” The back mark reads "Photographed and
Published by B.W. Kilburn, - Littleton, N.H.”
Thanks to my friend John Anderson!
I was looking at your website and noticed stereo view
#12464(Sky Railroad). FYI, that is the former Frankenstein Trestle,in Crawford Notch, NH. I say former, because it was replaced, long ago, to be able to be used by heavier diesel locomotives. The link below may be helpful. You'll note his association with Dr. Samuel Bemis, a daguerreian who I did a talk on at the Newport, RI symposium.
