Major General Thomas Crittenden A rich seated semi profile view CDV. Crittenden led an interesting life. The son of Senator and later Governor John J. Crittenden. His brother George was a Confederate general. His son died with George Custer at the Battle of the Little Bighorn in 1876.Thomas Crittenden led a division at Ohio at Shiloh.
