Marcus Hutchinson 5thPa Cav POW Died in Prison A knees up view CDV of Hutchinson ink identified on the front. No back mark. Trimmed at the top. Captured at Stoney Creek 6/29/64 sent to Andersonville. After General Sherman captured Atlanta on September 1, 1864. Andersonville was thought to be in the path of Sherman. Confederate prison authorities determined to relocate the approximately 30,000 Union prisoners then at Andersonville to Florence. Hutchinson died at Florence 1/11/64.
