Western Indian Wars Soldiers with Carbines This cabinet card shows all four soldiers carrying .45-70 caliber Springfield "Trapdoor” carbines. The two men in the back have pouches made from Indian beadwork. In addition to their Carbines, they carry pistols and have their dog with them as well. Some partial names can be seen on the verso. No back mark.
