Confederate with D Guard and Pistol 1/6 plate ambrotype of a seated and determined rebel. We will never know
if he was newly mustered or just never had a uniform. I own a letter from a
confederate officer who in February of 1865 writes his congressman for a
uniform stating that he has been in the entire war and never had a uniform.
Some scratches and imperfections on the plate.
