Young New York Officer CDV of a young Officer in full uniform. Posing stand is visible at his feet. Identified on the verso in pencil as "Carroll.” Backmark Thompson Gallery, Albany, NY. Two cent revenue stamp on verso. Rounded corners.

Residence was not listed; 20 years old.
Enlisted on 6/10/1864 at Yorktown, VA as a 2nd Lieutenant.
On 7/28/1864 he was commissioned into
"B" Co. NY 16th Heavy Artillery
He was dismissed on 12/27/1864 at Richmond, VA
