Thompson Woman - ⅙ daguerreotype by Thompson of New York portrays an elegantly dressed woman seated in a cushioned chair. Her dark dress only exposes her face and hands. The dress is tight around the bodice, and a brooch is pinned at the neck. She wears a white blouse under her dress that is exposed at the neck and wrists. Image was taken circa late 1840’s by "Thompson 315 Broadway, NY.”
