Henry Degen Sixth plate beautifully tinted daguerreotype of Dedan in a red uniform, sword at this side and a bearskin hat on the table. . Inside the case the period ink inscription reads,”H.D. Degan when a member of the Lynn Lt Infantry 1856”. During the Civil War he served nine months on the Field and Staff of the 50th Mass Infantry.
