Edward V. Valentine, Richmond, Virginia Statuary CDV "The Waif” - Back marked Anderson & Co.'s Photographic Art Palace, Richmond.

Edward Virginius Valentine He was born on November 12,
1838 in Richmond, Virginia. He studied in Europe: in Paris
with Couture and Jouffroy, in Italy under Bonanti, and with
August Kiss in Berlin. He briefly headed the Valentine
Richmond History Center, which was founded by his brother,
Mann S. Valentine, Jr. He died on October 19, 1930 in
Richmond, Virginia.
