He tightly embraces a cross-eyed, young boy under his right arm as if he is protecting him. The daughter sits on the left side clutching a doll. The dutiful mother sits to her husband’s right, wearing
a long dark dress and a gold necklace. Between the
couple is the eldest son who has a hand on each of his
parent’s shoulder. Upper left corner bent. The back of
the card reads, "A.W.Cadman, Photographer, East State Street. Jacksonville, Ills. Baby Pictures a
Speciality.” A pencil mark reads, "Doll probably wax
lady doll with leather arms & mohair wig.”
